The thing I like about Cee-lo green is that he is a hustler. From day one he has worked a plan and it seems that he has risen to the top of his game. Ok, some of the new shit is total rubbish, but you cant knock the heart that the man has in his big barrel chest.

Sometimes on the road of life we encounter problems and need a shoulder to cry on, a hand to help us or simply an ear to speak to. We all must go through changes to evolve and become better people.

I could write all day about this but I have no solutions, just a mix that I made for times of change. Something to aid the reflection process. I hope you enjoy.

---Higgins in Brazil---Good Friday 2011 {No. 33}

About a year ago I returned from 2 months im brazil with my good buddy Lucas. While I was there I learned a little bit about brazilian music and since my return I have learned loads more via the internet. Its a beautiful country and I will be going back in the future.


I compiled this mix and the tunes on it date from 1939 up to 1978. Its fun and it goes especially well with warm weather, beer and friendship.

What can I say to express how I feel inside about this. We have lost a real player in a world full of fakers. Every track he featured on he made HIS.  Fuck Akon and that shithead Drake, we will never again hear a man as smooth and as magnificent.

As I asked everyone in the office had they heard the news and of them knew who he was, I felt alone in my greif. However I am glad I have had his devine voice in my life for 15years and feel privileged.

I went to see Venetian Snares last Friday . It was totally refreshing to be in the presence of cyber goths as opposed to the usual hipster shitebags. Be truly orignal and rock some blue dreads and a powerpuff girl t-shirt (I actually saw that at the show)

 I got home on Sunday and made this mix of gabber, glitchgrind and other heavy electronics.

 It is featuring the fine work of Drugzilla, Pooberryshitcake, Universal Indicator, Pssst Shhh, The Captain Kirk On LSD Experience and Hatewire among others.

----Sleep in the time of now---- February 2011 {No. 28}

Ever fond of sleep and rest in general I made this mix to launch the blog. I feel that this music most accurately represents my sentiment, despite my outer shell of lunacy. Also it contains a song made by myself that samples Xzibit. This is the first ever track I have made public and it will appear on my left-field-as-fuck upcoming debut  EP. It will be released on this blog for free at some stage over the next 6 months.
